A Message from BYSA Leadership
As we look ahead to the upcoming soccer season, we're sharing an important leadership transition and an exciting new chapter for Beverly Youth Soccer.
Coach Edgar DeLeon
On behalf of our entire community, the Board of Directors extends our deepest gratitude to our longtime Director of Coaching, Edgar DeLeon.
For years, Edgar has served as a cornerstone of Beverly Youth Soccer. His work was always driven by a belief in the deeper impact of youth athletics—as Edgar himself put it, he has "seen firsthand how sports can transform kids' lives and bring the community together," helping to build a true "sense of pride and unity" across Beverly.
That philosophy guided every session, clinic, and coach mentorship during his tenure. Under his leadership, countless players developed not only technical skill and tactical awareness, but also confidence, sportsmanship, and a genuine love for the game.
Edgar's passion on the pitch and devotion to our town's soccer culture have left a lasting legacy. We look forward to supporting Coach DeLeon and the Beverly High School Boys' Soccer program throughout the upcoming Fall season.
New England Revolution Academy Partnership
To build upon the strong foundation Edgar helped establish, we are thrilled to announce a new official player and coach development partnership with the New England Revolution Academy.
This collaboration connects Beverly Youth Soccer directly with Major League Soccer's top developmental staff, bringing premier training methodologies, professional curriculum, and elevated support directly to our home fields.
Through this partnership, our community will benefit from:
- Player Development Clinics: Direct access to Revolution Academy coaches leading age-appropriate, technical training sessions designed to elevate foot skills, decision-making, and game intelligence across all divisions.
- Coach Education & Mentorship: Practical workshops, season-long curriculum plans, and on-field mentoring to support our dedicated volunteer coaches with modern training session designs.
- Curriculum Alignment: A cohesive development pathway that ensures players build skills progressively from foundational developmental leagues through competitive travel play.
- Exclusive Community Experiences: Opportunities for BYSA families to attend Revolution matchday events, special clinics, and matchday experiences at Gillette Stadium.
Looking Ahead
Our mission remains unchanged: to provide every child in Beverly a safe, positive, and competitive environment to learn, compete, and fall in love with soccer. We are confident that this partnership with the Revolution Academy will give our players and coaches the highest quality resources while preserving the strong community spirit that makes BYSA special.
More details regarding fall clinic dates, coach education meetings, and schedule updates will be shared in the coming weeks.
