Special Olympics Youth Soccer

The North Shore Rovers Special Olympics Youth Soccer Program is back for another fun season!!

The North Shore Rovers is a free of cost soccer program open to any child age 3-18 with intellectual or physical disabilities. We play in Swampscott on Sunday mornings, 10-11, from September 7 to November 3, with weekly practices and two Special Olympic tournaments during the season. Each athlete is matched with a volunteer, usually a High School student, for the entire season. It doesn’t matter if you’re child has lots of experience playing soccer or has never touched a soccer ball. Everyone is welcome!!! Players are grouped by ability (many players have never been on any type of sports team before and others are strong athletes – anything goes!!!) and the Young Athletes (ages 3-7) are teamed up by age, so there is a place for every athlete!! Our goal is to make the Rovers experience the best it can be for the athletes, their families, and the volunteers. We hope to see you in the fall!!

If you have a child who may be interested, you would like to volunteer, or you’d like to learn more, please contact: northshorerovers@comcast.net or call Gail Steele at 781-592-9978.

The North Shore Rovers is a local Special Olympics Program. Tax-deductible donations can be made to the Special Olympics of Massachusetts (please mark LOCAL PROGRAM 0119, NSRovers in the memo line), and mailed to: Special Olympics of MA, North Section, 100 Conifer Hill Drive, Danvers, MA 01923.
